Automated timetable generation and scheduling sounds so easy than it is to model. Engr. Bradford is here to give us details ✨️ This work presents an automated system for generating and managing university timetables, replacing the slow and error-prone manual process used at the University of Buea. It models the academic structure in a relational system and uses constraint programming (CP-SAT) to produce clash-free schedules that satisfy all requirements while optimizing room usage. The system includes a role-based approval workflow and a public interface for easy student access. Implemented with FastAPI and Flutter, it generated an optimal timetable in seconds, demonstrating improved efficiency, accuracy, and accountability over manual methods.
